Of course, you need to promote your website and acquire more and more links to have a decent ranking in the major search engines for your primary keyword phrases. In the meantime, you can receive a few visitors from some search engine queries because content on your site are rich in keywords.

AdSense is partly a numbers game. The more websites and pages you have running AdSense, the more chances in earning more revenue. But it's better to learn all you can about AdSense to get the most out of it because this will reflect in your income.
